Does Liquid Termiticides Kill Other Pests?
Liquid termite treatments are known for being highly effective in killing other pests: beetles, boxelder bugs, centipedes, cockroaches, crickets, earwigs, flies, silverfish, spiders, and many types of ants. This is mainly due to the strength of the formula. You should not attempt to treat pests in your home with termiticide, but if you do treat your termites with termiticide, you may also find your other pest problems diminish.
Do Baiting Systems Kill Other Insects?
But what about baiting systems? Bait stations work to kill carpenter ants, but not much else. This is because bait stations are specifically formulated to work against termites.
Can You Kill Termites with Bug Spray?
What about the opposite — does regular bug spray kill termites? First, check your bottle of spray – it will usually tell you somewhere on the label which pests it’s recommended for. If termites are not one of them, we recommend not using it. While the spray may kill termites if you hit them directly with it, it won’t be effective at eliminating the colony that’s infesting the home.
